New to Wilchester Elementary?
Many families move to our neighborhoods due to the high caliber of our schools. We're sure you will agree, and we want to help make your introduction to WIlchester a bit easier. Below is information and a list of actions to help you get started.
New Family Welcome Night
Please join us August 17th at 7pm in the Library for an opportunity to learn about our school, upcoming activities, and to meet staff and Welcome Committee members.
Directory
The PTA manages gathering and publishing a directory of Wilchester classes with contact information for students and their families. This is something that is printed and offered for purchase shortly after the school year begins. You will want to be sure to list yourself and purchase this important resource!
- Please watch for the order form to come home in your child's Tuesday Folder at the start of the school year.
School Supplies
At the end of each school year, returning students are given the opportunity to pre-order school supplies for thefollowing year that are delivered to them on the first day of school. The PTA is pleased to coordinate this effort to assist our students and teachers get off to a great start. This program is closed for the 09-10 school year.
Wilchester "Buddy" Program
It can be hard to be the new student in a new school. To help welcome newcomers, we have created a "buddy" program. If you are a new student in 1st-5th grade, we would like to connect you with another Wilchester student/family who can help show you the ropes. The attached flier provides a bit more information and who to contact if you are interested. Please contact our program leads Lissa Purcell or Amy Badger for more info!
