“What is Ways & Means?”
Many of you may be asking yourselves what “Ways and Means” is exactly. The function of Ways and Means is to inquire into and propose to the PTA the “ways and means” to be adopted to raise funds for the Wilchester Elementary PTA.
Each school year a list of proposed fundraisers is presented to the PTA for approval (see the link below for the proposed list for 2008-2009). We will vote on this list of fundraisers at the first PTA Meeting on September 9, 2008. The money we raise from our fundraisers in 2008-2009 goes into the 2009-2010 PTA Budget and helps fund items as determined by the results of our Long Range Planning Survey. YOU can be an active part of this process by participating in our fundraising activities, by coming to the Long Range Planning Meeting in January and by filling out the Long Range Planning Survey in the spring.
