PTA Meeting November 7th

Join us for our next PTA Meeting Friday, November 7th at 8:00am in the Wilchester Cafeteria. That Friday is a walk and roll, so walk your child to their class and then stay for the meeting and a special presentation!

Our very own Katie Adams, M.Ed., LPC-S, owner of Westside Counseling & Wellness, will be presenting "Knowing Your Child in a Digital World." Katie has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2015 and has worked with children, teens, and adults throughout her career. She now specializes in trauma therapy, helping individuals and families heal and grow through life's challenges. Katie is also passionate about supporting parents as they navigate the ups and downs of raising children and adolescents in todays digital age - offering insight into how to better understand and connect with each child's unique needs. **If you would like to submit a question for Katie, please fill out the form below and we will make sure she has time to address them.**

Please make sure to RSVP by 5pm on Nov. 5th to expedite the check-in process. Name tags for those staying for the meeting will be located outside the cafeteria. Even if you walk your child to class first, you will still need a nametag to stay in the building to attend the meeting.

Feel free to email wilchesterptapresident@gmail.com for questions or concerns.

Volunteer

It takes a village to run a book fair. Please review the open shifts and sign up to help.

Sign-up to volunteer here!

Attendance

During school registration this year, parents were asked to opt their child in for Book Fair. If you are unsure if your child is allowed to attend, please contact Mrs. Silliman or (713) 251-7700. Students who are unable to attend Book Fair will work on puzzles during their class’s shopping and preview times.

eWallet

To help keep our fair running efficiently please consider using eWallet! Simply load an eWallet for each of your students and fair volunteers will be able to look them up at checkout to use their funds!

The best part of eWallet? You can roll any leftover funds to our spring book fair OR shop online with scholastic. No more worrying about losing cash during the day or bringing home change!

*For those who previously signed up as volunteers during their student’s library class time the week of Nov 3rd-7th, please look for an email from Brandi Stanton in the coming days.

Lunch Duty Volunteers- Sign up today!

Let’s give our wonderful Wilchester staff an occasional break from lunch duty so that they can enjoy lunch as a grade level team! We’ve chosen our monthly Teacher Appreciation Luncheon days to help cover lunch duty for our teachers.

Please only sign up for one slot for each child so we can allow everyone to get a chance! If they don't fill up we will send out again.

Lunch duty involves getting students into the lunch line, helping to open food containers, and reminding students to stay in their seats. An administrator will be available to help with any behavior issues or other incidents.

**YOU MUST BE REGISTERED AS AN SBISD VOLUNTEER TO PARTICIPATE!
